BLOOD BOWL SEVENS

Resurrection Rules for Swiss Pairing Tournament

1. TOURNAMENT FORMAT

Resurrection: Any injuries or deaths during a game do not carry over to the next match. Teams reset before each game, with no player advancement between rounds.

Swiss Pairing: Coaches are paired randomly round 1. Subsequent rounds, coaches are paired based on similar win-loss records, ensuring competitive matching throughout the tournament. If two coaches have already played each other, the pairing is adjusted up or down one ranking to avoid rematches.

2. SCORING & STANDINGS

A win is worth 4 points, a draw 2, and a loss 0. The winner is determined by the total points accumulated across all games.

Tiebreaker rules (in order):

  • Head-to-head result between tied coaches
  • Touchdown difference (TDs scored minus TDs conceded)
  • Casualty difference (CAS dealt minus CAS suffered)
  • Team value (total roster value)
  • Strength of schedule (average opponent strength)

3. RULESET

All games are played using Blood Bowl 3 (2025 Rulebook) and Death Zone book, pages 90-97.

Teams may be selected from any race approved by the NAF. Star players, mercenaries and special cards are not allowed.

Kick-off clarification: When the ball is kicked off, roll 2D6 to determine scatter deviation. Use the lower result. Futhermore we use the BB2025 kick-off table, simply replace when it says D3+3 with D3+1.

4. TEAM DRAFT & BUILDING

You have 600,000 copper crowns to build your roster.

  • Team size: minimum 7 players, maximum 11 players
  • You may hire any number of linemen
  • Up to 4 non-linemen positions, respecting the team roster maximums
  • Team rerolls cost double their normal price
  • Inducements may be purchased as per Death Zone, page 93

All skills granted through the Skill Package (A) are free and do not impact your 600,000 copper crown team budget.
